Waikoikoi

Welcome to Waikoikoi School. We are a U1 contributing school with one full-time teaching-principal (Sheralyn Cook) and a principal release teacher (Margie Rea) who also teaches in our junior classroom 4 mornings a week. We currently have 22 students ranging from Year 1 to Year 6 with most of our students moving onto Blue Mountain College in Tapanui where they consistently achieve well.

Waikoikoi School has a long history with the opening of the school in 1880. Since then the school has seen many changes with the current school buildings being built in 1962.

Waikoikoi is a sheep farming community just off SH9 and is situated 20 minutes from Gore and 10 minutes from Tapanui in West Otago.
